I love Vintage advertising. Especially mid to late 40's, when companies really began to discover the power of advertising. I love the language they used, and the illustrations and all their "scientific research" that now seems so ridiculous. I have collected quite a few old magazines over the last 3 years, and i thought it would be fun to share an old advert from some of them every now and then. So here is the first.
This is actually from a fairly recent magazine that i got my hot little hands on. It is the June 1946 edition of My Home, produced in England. I purchased it on Ebay for the grand sum of $3 *lol*. When I first saw this Ad I literally laughed-out-loud, it is just such a ridiculous name for a deodorant. "Have you seen my Odo-ro-no Dear? I don’t appear to be smelling my sweetest"
